Fashion Takes Action (Canada)

Fashion Takes Action is Canada's first non-profit fashion industry organization focused on sustainability. We work with industry and consumers, with the goal to shift behavior toward more positive social and environmental impacts. Since 2007, Fashion Takes Action has worked with more than 800 apparel businesses and entrepreneurs, participated in over 250 events, collaborated with academics, NGOs and various industry stakeholders, and received tens of millions of media impressions. With a mission to advance sustainability in fashion through education, awareness, research and collaboration, FTA looks at what barriers to sustainability exist – both to the consumer and industry alike – and then works hard to remove those barriers. Their annual industry conference, the World Ethical Apparel Roundtable (WEAR) began in 2014 and will this year, launch a free monthly webinar spin-off series that launches Sept 16-17.
